How to Apply for Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal [2024 Edition]

To begin your scholarship application process on the National Scholarship Portal, the first step after registration is logging in. This crucial step grants you access to the portal, where you can manage your scholarship applications. Using the credentials provided during registration, including your One Time Registration (OTR) number , you can easily log in to the portal. Upon successful login, you’ll gain access to the “My Applications” section, where you can apply for new scholarships, track your application status, and manage your submissions efficiently.

Step by Step Process of Login on National Scholarship Portal

Step 1 : Accessing the Portal:

  • After registration, users can log in to the web portal using their registered credentials, which include the OTR and Date of Birth.
  • The OTR will also be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.

Step 2 : Login Process:

  • Enter your OTR on the login page to access the portal.
  • Upon successful login, a confirmation pop-up will be displayed.

Step 3: My Applications

Step 1 : Accessing Applications:

  • After logging in, the first page displayed will be “My Applications.”
  • Users can view all their applications on this page.

Step 2 : Apply Fresh:

  • To apply for a new scholarship, select the ‘Apply Fresh’ option.
  • Click the “I Agree” button to proceed with the application process.

Step 2 : My Application Listing Page:

  • Once an application is submitted, it will be listed on the “My Applications” page.
  • Users can monitor the status of their applications from this page.

Step 4: Filling Out the Application

 

4.1. Application Steps:

  • To complete the application process, the user must go through the following steps:
    1. General Information:
      • Provide basic personal information required for the scholarship application.
    2. Academic Details:
      • Fill in your academic qualifications and achievements.
    3. Application Specific:
      • Enter details specific to the scholarship application you are filling out.
    4. Scheme Available:
      • Select the scholarship scheme(s) you are eligible for.
    5. Scheme Specific Details:
      • Provide additional details required for the selected scheme.
    6. Upload Document(s):
      • Upload necessary documents such as identification, academic records, and others as specified.

Step 5: Application Status and Withdrawal

1. Status Monitoring:

  • The first page shown after clicking on ‘Proceed’ will display the status of your application. This page is read-only.

2. Withdrawal of Application:

  • If you wish to withdraw your application, navigate to the ‘Withdraw Application’ option from the Left Menu.
  • The withdraw application page will be displayed, where you can confirm your action.
