Scope of NEET-PG

For the academic year 2024–2025, NEET-PG 2024 will serve as the only eligibility/entry exam for admission to MD, MS, and PG diploma programs. It will comprise the following:

1. A 50% quota of seats is allocated to each of India’s states and union territories.
2. All States and Union territories in India will have state quota seats.
3. Every Private Medical College, Institution, University, and Deemed University in the Nation
4. Hospitals for Armed Forces Medical Services.
5. Direct six-year DrNB courses, Post MBBS NBEMS diploma courses, and Post MBBS DNB courses

Medical institutions not covered for this centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2024-25 session:

1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
2. PGIMER, Chandigarh
3. JIPMER, Puducherry
4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru
5. Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

Examination Fee

General, OBC and EWS – Rs. 3500/-

 SC, ST, PWD  – Rs. 2500/–

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 .
• Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 and possessing permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC.
• Requests for appearing in NEET-PG 2024 from candidates completing internship after 15th August 2024 or having qualifications that are not recognized as per the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed IMC Act, 1956 shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.

Scheme of NEET-PG 2024

1. On June 23, 2024, a single day and single session of the computer-based NEET-PG exam will take place.
2. Syllabus: Subjects and knowledge areas covered in the exam will be determined by the Graduate Medical Education Regulations, which were established by the former Medical Council of India with prior approval from the Indian government.
3. The exam will consist of a computer-based test with multiple choice questions (CBT) according to the prescribed system.
4. Correct Response 4 Marks
5. Incorrect Response 1 Mark shall be deducted
6. Unattempted Question Zero
7. For wrong responses, there will be a 25% negative marking penalty. Unattempted questions will not result in a mark deduction.
