About NHIDCL Internship:
The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) is actively engaged in promoting, surveying, designing, building, operating, and maintaining National Highways and strategic roads. In particular, it focuses on projects in the North-Eastern states and border regions of India. Through these efforts, NHIDCL aims to significantly improve regional connectivity. Moreover, the development of such infrastructure is intended to promote cross-border trade, strengthen economic ties, and enhance national security. In addition, these projects help integrate peripheral and remote areas with the national mainstream, thereby supporting inclusive growth and development across the country.
NHIDCL Internship Scheme Overview:
The NHIDCL Internship Scheme is launched in collaboration with AICTE to provide meaningful internship opportunities for students across India. It aims to enhance the academic talent pool with hands-on practical exposure in various divisions and regional offices of NHIDCL.
Key Highlights:
- Duration: 2 / 4 / 6 Months (as per student’s choice at the time of application)
- Internship Period: 1st July 2025 to 31st March 2026
- Location: NHIDCL Headquarters (New Delhi) and various Regional Offices across India
- Eligibility: Students pursuing Undergraduate / Postgraduate Degrees or Research Scholars in:
- Civil Engineering
- Human Resources
- Legal
- IT
- Finance
Guidelines for the NHIDCL Internship:
- The internship is open to students from Civil Engineering, Finance, Legal, and HR backgrounds for durations of 2, 4, or 6 months.
- Students must apply through the AICTE Internship Portal. NHIDCL will not accept applications sent by post or any other method.
- Students who belong to areas where NHIDCL offices are located will get preference.
- Applicants must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their college in the prescribed format, printed on the college’s letterhead, at the time of application.
- At the time of joining, students must submit an Indemnity Bond on a non-judicial stamp paper of ₹10/-.
- NHIDCL will provide a stipend as per the terms mentioned in the detailed advertisement.
- Accommodation may be arranged at field locations, subject to availability.
- Students can apply for only one internship. However, they may change the subject of the internship while the portal remains open.
- Students can withdraw their application at any time before joining. But if a student withdraws after selection, NHIDCL will not consider them for future internships.
Objectives of the NHIDCL Internship Scheme:
- To engage young academic talent with NHIDCL’s infrastructure development projects.
- To provide exposure to NHIDCL’s operations, policies, and working environment.
- To enhance students’ skills through practical work experience in infrastructure development.
Preference Criteria:
- Preference will be given to students having domicile of the place where NHIDCL offices are located.
- Students can select the duration (2/4/6 months) while applying on the portal.
How to Apply:
Eligible students can apply through the AICTE Internship Portal before 15th May 2025. All received applications will be forwarded to NHIDCL for selection.
